Women in Film Seattle Presents Media Delivery Systems & Distribution Workshop

Our neighbors to the north, Women in Film Seattle, have partnered with Reel Grrls (a non-profit organization dedicated to providing media education to underprivileged girls) to present a workshop that may be of interest to WIF PDX members!

Media Delivery Systems & Distribution with Gretchen Burger is a primer on video compression, providing students with the ins & out of file structure plus the opportunity to experiment with hands-on compression exercises. Whether they have a :30 spot, a 10-minute short or a full-length feature, students will learn to find the sweet spot between image quality & file size that is particular to their piece & their intended distribution platform. Compression schemes for mobile devices, the web & more will be discussed. All experience levels are welcome.

Gretchen is an independent video producer/editor/Art Institute instructor with 14 years of experience in documentary filmmaking and television production.
