2012 Women in Film PDX Faerie Godmother Production Grant recipient Sarah Gertrude Shapiro screens her short film “Sequin Raze” in the prestigious New Directors/New Films series at MoMA, at the end of this month. Included in the “Shorts II” program, “Sequin Raze” portrays a reality-show contestant trying to protect herself from the psychological onslaught of one of the producers.
Each year New Directors/New Films unveils a brand-new lineup of fresh faces on the filmmaking scene. A co-presentation of The Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the festival is now in its 42nd year.
